School Age Programs

We will be in partnership with you in providing a well-balanced learning atmosphere for children and youth. We are expecting a fun filled and exciting millennium.

Each child will grow socially, educationally and physically while participating in the recreational activities and educational opportunities, which will be offered in the open choice environment of the program. As members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America we will provide your child optimum programming. We are accredited by the National School Age Care Alliance. This organization is dedicated to ensuring that the highest quality of after school care is provided to all school age children, youth and teens. We are looking forward to having your family in the program.

The School Age Programs includes:

Additional Information

  1. A registration fee is charged to off set the salaries and the material expenses of registration.  It also provides an annual membership card for all children ages and above.

  2. Our program provides breakfast and snack per day per child.  On full days during the school year breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack is provided.  Regularly scheduled activities of arts and crafts, nature and science, picnics, field days, and sporting events are all part of our curriculum.  We provide a homework incentive program called “Power Hour”.

  3. Fees are determined by calculating  the total family income, which  includes all earned income including wages, salaries, tips, long-term disability benefits, voluntary salary deferrals, quarters allowances and subsistence allowances and in-kind quarters and subsistence received by military member, pay for service in combat zone and anything else of value, even if not taxable, that was received for providing services.  Quarters allowances and subsistence allowances means the basic allowance for housing and basic allowance for subsistence received by military personnel(with respect to grade and status) and the value of meals and lodging furnished in-kind to military personnel residing on military bases.

  4. Dual military families will only be assessed using the BAH of the highest ranking parent.  Child support income will not be used to compute the family income.

  5. Failure to submit the required documents will result in the highest fees being assessed.

  6. When a parent/guardian’s income changes an additional review of the income must be accomplished.  If the change causes a change in the category of payment, the fees will be adjusted accordingly.

  7. If a military member is deployed and the family is still eligible to use the program, then the income of both parents will still be used in determining the fees charged.

  8. There is a 2 month grace period for that individual to acquire employment during which time fees may be adjusted.  If after that time, no employment can be verified, then the enrollment of the children will be terminated.

  9. Families who need assistance in paying for care, may apply with state and federal agencies. Contact may also be made with the Air Force Aid Society and the Family Support Center.  We will process any forms required to meet your requirements.

  10. Children can only be in the program for 10 consecutive hours of care.  This is based on AFI 34-012 Youth Flight Ten-Hour Limit.  “No, children may be left in any Youth Flight program for more than 10 consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, between normal operating  hours.”  Waivers may be obtained.  If this is necessary contact the Coordinator of School-Age Programs.

  11. All youth participating in the membership program must wear a current membership card.  This card must be worn while in the facility.  If the youth does not have his/her card with them, they will be allowed to call their parent and ask to have it brought to them.  If this cannot be accomplished the youth will NOT be allowed to sign out of the camp program.  If the parent does not pick up this youth by 1800 hours, when the program closes, a late pick –up fee will be charged.

  12. The fee is $1.00 per minute past 1805 hours.  There is a 5 minute grace period.

  13. A $3.75 per hour fee will be charged for each hour beyond the 10 hours.

  14. A $15.00 late payment fee will be charged whenever you pay after the scheduled payment date.

  15. All fees are due on the(1st)  first of each month and MUST be paid in full by the (15th) of each month.

  16. All children must be able to participate fully in ALL activities, including field trips.  Field trips are scheduled in advance.  Permission slips are provided on the group notebooks with departure and arrival times.  Children not desiring to participate in the field trip or arriving late may not be signed into the program, because all staff are required to go on the field trip to maintain proper ratio. Most trips will be scheduled during full day programs such as during spring and winter breaks.

  17. Our goal is 100% capacity in the Before and After Care Programs.  Therefore, if space is available we will add your child to the Before Care or the  After Care Program which ever is required.

  18. Stop by the Operations Desk and request a change of enrollment form.  Fill out this form and leave with the Operation Clerks.   When accepted into the program requested an operations clerk will notify you as soon as possible.

  19. All requests to terminate enrollment from any program must be done in writing 2 weeks in advance of the last day required.  If termination is less than 2 weeks you will be responsible for payment of fees owed for the entire 2 weeks.

  20. The AF Form 357 (Dependant Care)  is used for all active duty single or dual military family personnel to appoint a legal guardian for their minor children in the event of sudden deployment. A copy of this form must be on file with your child care provider because of  such deployments. If you are not Air Force personnel you must provide an equivalent  form.
