Fitness Assessment Cell (FAC) Updates

As of 1 Nov 2021, the 3rd Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) block at 10:45am is no longer offered and has been removed from the fitness assessment registration SharePoint. Fitness assessments will continue to be offered Monday-Friday from 6:45am and 8:45am, and walking tests will be the first two Tuesdays of the month at 11:45am.

Coming soon, a new myFitness role called UFAC (Unit Fitness Assessment Cell) will enable internally testing units to better manage their own fitness programs by granting self-testing units the ability to enter their own scores into myFitness.

This capability is currently being tested. Once this role has been implemented, JBA FAC Staff will grant UFAC access to self-testing units’ Unit Fitness Program Managers (UFPM's) upon receipt of an appointment letter signed by the Unit Commander. Until UFPM's have been notified by the FAC that they should use the UFAC option, UFPM's should continue to allow the FAC to upload their scores.

Diagnostic testing will now be offered during any regular PFA. An Airman who elects to take a diagnostic PFA may decide after testing whether the test will be scored as an official test. Members may take up to three diagnostic tests per calendar year (tracked by the Unit Fitness Program Manager). Diagnostic tests can begin no earlier than 45 calendar days prior to PFA expiration. Once an Airman is within 15 calendar days of the expiration of their current PFA, they are no longer eligible for a diagnostic test.

The JBA FAC is only able to upload scores for anyone with an AU PAS Code (meaning that the member belongs to JB Andrews administratively). While the FAC is willing to test any Airman, please be aware:

1. Members not belonging to JB Andrews administratively will be required to bring a hard copy of their test scores to their home unit to load into myFitness. Please also be aware that members must log onto myFitness and establish a profile NLT 24 hours prior to their PFA in order for their scores to upload properly.

2. Some units WILL NOT load your score if they did not physically test a member. Members not belonging to JBA must first coordinate with their owning unit to ensure they will load the score before the JBA FAC will administer a PFA.

*To request assistance with PFA scheduling, registering for UFAC access, diagnostic testing, myFitness scores, or anything else regarding the FAC, please call (301) 981-1610.
