Program Overview

The JB Andrews Relocation Assistance Program is designed to make your inbound or outbound PCS as smooth as possible.  Due to current COVID-19 precautions, all relocation services are being provided virtually, via phone, email, video, and Zoom.  The information below will be updated as we resume normal operations.

Services

*Inbound PCS:

SPONSORSHIP:

If you haven’t been provided with a sponsor yet, please contact your gaining unit.  If you are unable to reach your gaining unit for assistance, please contact the Military & Family Support Center at (301) 981-7087 or email us at 316.FSS.MFSC@us.af.mil.

NEWCOMERS ORIENTATION:

When you check in with your CSS, they will provide you with a link to our Welcome to Andrews video.  Watching this video and completing the short attendance survey will meet your Newcomer’s Orientation requirement and provide you with valuable base resources and contact information.

If you haven’t yet been provided with the link, you can view the video at: https://vimeo.com/452363258/05c964b57b (If link isn’t clickable, copy and paste into browser instead)

*Outbound PCS:

PLAN MY MOVE BRIEFING:

We offer this briefing monthly.  Family members are encouraged to attend.  Briefings include TMO, Finance, MPS, Tricare, MFLC, EFMP, School Liaison, Military OneSource, and the Military & Family Support Center (financial readiness for PCS).  To register, please contact the Military & Family Support Center at (301) 981-7087 or email us at 316.FSS.MFSC@us.af.mil.

*Sponsorship Program:

REQUESTING A SPONSOR:

If you haven’t been provided with a sponsor yet, please contact your gaining unit.  If you are unable to reach your gaining unit for assistance, please contact the Military & Family Support Center at (301) 981-7087 or email us at 316.FSS.MFSC@us.af.mil.

YOUTH SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM:

Available to youth family members of active duty, retired, and reserve military, as well as youth dependents of DOD civilians.  Volunteers will help welcome incoming youth.  Find out more by looking for “Youth Sponsorship Program” headers on the JBA Teen Programs page at https://www.andrewsfss.com/teen-programs.

BECOMING A SPONSOR:

Congratulation on your role as a sponsor. The Military OneSource eSponsorship program provides the sponsor with comprehensive training and resources to welcome the incoming member to their new duty station.  To begin the process you must complete the new eSponsorship application and training.  Please click the training links below to start the process and then visit the eSat website to find sample emails or welcome letters, checklists, and newcomers assessments to help you be a great sponsor.

1. Go to https://millifelearning.militaryonesource.mil/ and login (if you are not already registered for the site you will need to register first—if asked, please register as an active duty member rather than a service provider).

2. Go to https://millifelearning.militaryonesource.mil/MOS/F?p=SIS:9:209048228065163::::P9_ID:13 to complete the eSat sponsorship training.
